Business
At the dawn of the third millennium, as human society grows in size, it also becomes technologically more advanced, we face historically unrivaled challenges. As a direct consequence, science and education are playing an increasingly central role in our life. This offers unprecedented opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs.
Business Development Fellowship
Beyond my scientific activity as Templeton Research Fellow, I have been recently awarded one of the Business Development Fellowships by the Mike and Renee Child Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of California, Davis. Here you can find my profile. The BDF is a year-long program which provides the awardees hands-on experience in developing business skills, either for a career in industry or to develop a business venture. I am really glad to have this opportunity and I am looking forward to this journey with the other fellows!
BiFlOn
I am also the co-founder of BiFlon, a one-on-one tutoring business venture based in Trieste, Italy, which connects young professional figures (as Ph.D. students) looking for an extra-salary with students from high school or college that have specific tutoring needs.
My partner in this endeavor is Dr. Livio Warbinek, an archeologist with interest in the Middle East who has worked in German and Israel. He is currently based in Italy, between Trieste and Verona, where he runs BiFlon and works on a research project at the University of Verona.
